Today the Second University Department of Urology is under the direction of Associate Prof. J. Kastrioti and therein serve 8 faculty and 4 doctors of the NHS, covering the entire diagnostic and therapeutic scope of modern urology, both in pathology, as and the surgical field. Highlights are the urinary oncology, reconstructive urology is the gynecologic urology and lithotripsy. It consists of two parts, with 23 beds each, housed in the old wing of Sismanogleiou, the first and second floor respectively.
In the diagnostic level, Sismanoglio applied all diagnostics required for diagnosis of simple, and complex urological cases in collaboration with other disciplines.
